Help the Lustigs with Meals

Posted 8/21/15  |  David checked in yesterday at University Hospital. Noelle has indicated that it would now be helpful to start getting Shabbat and holiday meals. Michelle Teitelbaum has graciously offered to help organize and be a liaison with people since David may not always be in the same location each week.

Please note the following:

David is currently still in the hospital and the family is only requesting Shabbat and Yom Tov meals for David and Noelle. Because we have made this schedule to go all the way thru the Chagim. David may at certain points be home, in a rehab center or different locations in the hospital.

Please check in with Michelle Teitelbaum at 303-912-3755 or mytei1@comcast.net the week of your meal to confirm his current location. Her number and e-mail are also the ones listed below as the recipient contact info since David and Noelle may not be able to respond.

Remember, you only need to provide food for two people and David does get meals at the hospital. These meals are to help us give them homemade Shabbat and Yom Tov food, hizuk and ruach but you don't need to go overboard with these meals, it's most important that we can fill all these days!

Help the Lustig Family

Posted 8/21/15  |  As you know, David Lustig is currently being treated for complications of multiple myeloma, a blood cancer, which has damaged David’s spinal column. Once David’s spine is stabilized, he will be able to start receiving treatment for the cancer itself.

Many people have asked how they can reach out to the Lustig family and help them during this difficult time. Rabbi Jacobs of Kehilas Bais Yisroel has graciously offered to establish a fund to help the Lustig family. Donations should be made payable to “Kehilas Bais Yisroel” with “Lustig Family Fund” noted on the memo line. All of the funds collected will be used to help the Lustig family with the overwhelming expenses of dealing with this illness.
